BioI'm Asian American and I enjoy spending quiet time not reflecting so much as questioning desperately the meaning of my, our, existence(s). At other times I would make flashcards for organic chemistry mechanisms and reactions - one of my hobbies. I plan to become a plastic surgeon slash fiction writer, though I am conscious of the fact that almost everyone my age tend to idealize the future. I'll see what happens. I will be shadowing a plastic surgeon in Shanghai, China this summer, for which I'm very excited. I will also be going for Honors in Creative Writing at my university, aspiring to follow in the footsteps of Kenan Randall and Doris Betts, as well as my mentors David Shaw and Lawrence Naumoff, all published writers. I think I'm bragging more than I intend to, or maybe I just sound like I'm bragging. My apologies.
I am also aware of the possibility that an aspiring writer declaring to be an aspiring writer may come off as a pompous donkey. Again, my apologies.
